Individual commissions have always been the main body of my work but throughout my 30 years at the bench, I have worked for retail companies with national and international reputations. The commissions have varied from making promotional gifts to ornamental accessories.

For more than 20 years I have been working with John Ditchfield at Glasform creating silver pieces to be added to his exquisite art glass. I contributed to one of his pieces for the BBC.

J Houghton and Sons is a traditional saddlers and harness makers in Darwen, Lancashire. There they make prize-winning pieces that incorporate the monograms of their commissioning clients. I have made many of these monograms as well as a number of speciality buckles and decorative emblems that are no longer in production.
